Solar Power - Is Now the Time?

Now may not be a good time for you to invest in renewable energy systems for your home. But it isn't a bad time to think about it. It won't cost you anything to get information for future reference. So think about attending the free Solar Expo presented by Bethesda Green this Saturday, June 12 from 10am to 4pm.

Various topics will be covered in bite-sized 30-minute sessions. Highlights include a 12:30pm panel discussion with homeowners who've made the switch, a 2:30 discussion of how solar co-ops can increase your buying power, and a 3pm presentation of Federal, State and County tax incentives.

Federal assistance for this type of application is quite good. And Montgomery county has launched a forward thinking home energy loan program (HELP) which ties improvements to your property tax.
